Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's big Reliefs for the farmers

In order to increase the production of the agricultural sector, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched very important relief programs to help farmers across Punjab. From Kisan Card to various agricultural implements like tractors, seed drills, and solarisation of tube wells have been initiated.


These measures are designed to modernize farming practices and improve productivity to provide financial relief. Apart from this, the Maryam Nawaz Agriculture Scholarship has also been started to guide the farmers and for better production in which agriculture specialists will guide the farmers.

Launch of Kisan Card

One of the most important announcements is the launch of the Kisan Card. Distribution of 40,000 Kisan Cards has already started which will be provided to farmers in all the tehsils of Punjab. These cards will be available to the farmers at the agricultural centers located in the agriculture office of each tehsil.


Kisan Card is a very important step for farmers which will give them access to financial assistance loans and agricultural resources. From October 15, farmers will be able to use the Kisan Card for minor interventions related to wheat crops.


Farmers can get a loan of Rs 30,000 per acre from the Kisan Card, which they can use for fertilizer, seeds, sprays, etc. A total of five lakh farmers can benefit from the Kisan Card. read more…

Launch of Agricultural Goods Pilot Project

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also launched a pilot project of agricultural equipment in four districts of Punjab, Okada, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Sargodha. Through this project, farmers will have access to essential inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.


Moreover, they will be able to get counseling, loans and other important facilities through these pilot projects. Ensuring that they are given better advice on how to run their farms efficiently.

CM Green Tractor Scheme

Another very important initiative which has been recently launched by Maryam Nawaz Sharif is the CM Green Tractor Scheme. The aim of which is to provide 10 thousand tractors to the farmers next year. A subsidy of Rs 10 lakh will be provided on each tractor.

Agriculture Graduates Internship Program

To further strengthen the agriculture sector, the Agriculture Graduates Internship Program is being launched next week. Under this initiative, agriculture graduates will be tasked with reaching out to farmers through geomapping technology.


This will enable them to provide expert advice and support in the fields. This will not only create employment opportunities for agriculture graduates but also help farmers to keep abreast of the latest farming techniques and technologies.

Agricultural Tube Well Solarization

Another extreme program has been launched by Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide relief to the farmers and for better farming is that the farmers will be provided subsidies on tube wells. In this regard, the Agricultural Tube Well Solarization Scheme is being launched.


The scheme will help farmers convert electric and diesel-powered tubewells to solar-powered tubewells.
This will lead to significant reductions in energy costs. Punjab Government will provide a subsidy to meet 50% cost of solarizing these tube wells, it will be an investment-effective solution for farmers.
